Fit for Life September 2025 - Reflections after 2 Intensive Days

I just wrapped up my “Fit for Life” September course and I’m feeling deeply grateful for this inspiring group. Over two days, we dove into science-based strategies for habit change, eating well, managing stress, improving sleep, and most importantly—living with more awareness. What struck me most is that while many participants already knew pieces of the puzzle, the real value came from bringing it all together. When knowledge is connected, it becomes wisdom.

Here are some of the key takeaways we explored together:
  • Balance proteins, carbs, and fats - no calorie counting needed. Remember: as we age, we need more protein, not less.
  • Sleep is not optional. Respect your sleep hygiene and your body will thank you.
  • Manage stress by resetting your nervous system with simple but powerful tools: slow deep breathing, a few minutes of vertical shake, meditation or even a forward roll.
  • There’s no such thing as the best diet - only the one that works for you.
  • Don’t believe every thought you think -  master your mind by keeping negative thoughts in check.

And some golden nuggets from our discussions:

  • Change one habit at a time - baby steps win. For example - eating slowly and mindfully reduces bloating, boosts enjoyment, and helps cut calories over time.
  • Play with carbs and fats if you want, but never compromise your protein - get it as much as possible from real food.
  • Eating well isn’t about restriction - it’s about adding more nourishing foods to what you already love.
  • Rich in antioxidants and L-theanine, green tea supports focus, brain health, and healthy aging, and may help reduce certain menopause-related symptoms.
  • Sport is the foundation of health. Martial arts and boxing not only strengthen the body but also sharpen the mind, building discipline, resilience, and confidence.
  • Keep a “Living Well Diary” to track your goals and habits. Writing lights up your prefrontal cortex, the brain’s engine for focus and growth, making positive change truly stick.
Above all, we reminded each other that health isn’t about perfection. It’s about progress, awareness, and compassion for ourselves along the way.

A big thank you to everyone who joined - your energy and openness made this course special.

💚 Let’s keep building habits that make us truly Fit for Life!

„A friend persuaded me to participate in the course "Fit for Life" in September 2025 and to be honest I was not expecting it to offer so much to a sixty-five year old man who is already quite set in his habits, but I was pleasantly surprised. Maria's enthusiastic, charming approach combined with her down to earth advice provided a first-rate coaching experience which I would whole heartedly recommend to anyone."
